Quick Make: Pink Tulips Birthday Card

Today I have a tulip birthday card I made for my mother-in-law. I love tulips and the Brush Art Floral stamp set from Altenew is so easy to use and looks like you hand-painted them!

Supplies are listed at the end of this post and compensated affiliate links are used when possible.

First I stamped a few of the different tulip bases in Hero Arts’ Ultra Pink Shadow Ink. Then I stamped the accents in Memento’s Lady Bug. For the stems and leaves, again I picked out a few different of the options and stamped them in Memento Cottage Ivy. I just love how they look like actual brush strokes. Viola! Instant artist!! After I had my flowers, I simply cut around them with my scissors leaving a small white border.

Next, I used a patterned paper from Raspberry Road Design Mr & Mrs paper pad and cut it to size. Then I ran it through my Cuttlebug using Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Border Dies on each side of the paper. I finished off the flowers by tying a bit of twine in a bow and glued on using Penflair Glue Gel which works really well on textured materials that you want to have a bit of dimension.

I finished off the card by stamping “happy” from Simon Says Stamp Happy stamp set and “birthday” from Paula Pascual’s Small Everyday Messages stamp set. The card base was a lovely patterned card blank that came in a Festive Chalkboard Christmas bundle I bought last year from Craftwork Cards. I like the neutral tone of the design and that it doesn’t just have to be used for a Christmas card! You know I just love a coordinating envelope so I added a tulip to the front to tie it in with the card theme.

Overall I would say this card took me under an hour to make and most of that time was spent deciding on colours and papers. Such as easy card to make!
